Safe Travels!
What a friggin' adventure. We met the greatest folks on earth along the way and made life-long friends, for sure. This thing we call the "Loop" really is an adventure akin to none you can fathom. Webster defines adventure as: "an undertaking usually involving danger and unknown risks". Well, you get it all while loop boating in unknown waters, river, lakes, and seas, to challenging never ending navigation, locks, anchoring, extremes in weather, maintenance galore, logistics that will make your head spin and all the emotions to go with this adventure. Has it been tough? Sure, at times, but we wouldn't trade it for the world. I think the loop is best described by my good friend Jack Shuff from Jackpot: "Life like this is endless hours of wonder, awe and amazement followed by 15 minutes of terror, frustration and concern!" A BIG thanks especially to all the knuckleheads that chose to cruise with us, park next to us, join us for docktails, dinner or drinks or just wave at us, as we/you went by. Wow, we can't believe it is over! We could never have done this without the never ending support of the AGLCA homeport crew, our buddy boats, flotilla leaders and all the members on Facebook and the forums. Rock on Warriors, and Don't Fall In, you Crazy River Rats! See ya'll down the water!
We are halfway through our loop journey having traveled from Texas to Baltimore last year. We hope to finish this year on our 31' Ranger Tug. We target crossing our wake in early November.
We discovered BJ's Cove via a recent AGLCA post and we love it. We always have music playing while we are cruising. Thank you for what you are doing. It makes days on the Loop that much more enjoyable!
On September 9th, 2017 at 3:50 pm, My Sharona crossed her wake at Pier 33 in St. Joseph, MI. My wife, Sharon A. (hence the name of the boat and my favorite song) bought me this boat as an anniversary gift.
